Elizabeth Winstanley

CMPA Development & Production Intern

Elizabeth Winstanley is an MFA candidate in Scriptwriting and Story Design at Toronto Metropolitan University. As a writer, she’s passionate about genre-blending, unconventional stories, and supporting emerging voices with this shared interest. She previously interned at Scythia Films and is eager to expand her skillset into production.

Natalie Remplakowski is a Polish-Canadian filmmaker and the founder and principal producer at Citrine.

Originally trained in theatre, she is energized by deep-dive research that transports her to unfamiliar terrain. To Natalie, producing is the craft of transforming the abstract into the tangible, tethering a director’s vision to reality. She has extensive experience telling community-rooted stories with specificity and care, and is especially drawn to work that seeks to shape cultural discourse through emotionally resonant, genre-crossing storytelling. She strives to champion singular voices with bold ambition, emotional clarity, and ideally, a strong sense of humour.

Natalie is a recent graduate of NYU’s Tisch Graduate Film Program, where she was awarded both the Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship and the WTC Johnson Scholarship. She is also the recipient of the Lora Hays Award for Documentary Editing.

She has both led and collaborated on productions recognized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and screened at top-tier festivals worldwide, including Venice, TIFF, Sundance, Cannes, San Sebastian, the New York Film Festival, and SXSW.

Born in Mississauga, Ontario, to a Polish immigrant family, Natalie grew up immersed in the local community’s performing arts scene before earning a BFA in Theatre Acting from York University.
